Expanded Child Tax Credit
This year’s child tax credit was expanded under the American Rescue Plan in an effort to offer families more direct aid. The increased payment allows eligible parents and caregivers to receive up to $3,000 annually for each child under 18 , and to get half that amount paid out in monthly payments from July to December.
“This is one of the main contributors to the lack of discussion in Congress around a fourth stimulus check,” says Rowan. “The expanded CTC is already showing signs that it will do a lot to reduce poverty by providing reliable income for eligible families, but it’s unclear whether it will get extended beyond this year,” she adds.
If passed, the controversial $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill proposed by House Democrats based on President Biden’s Build Back Better Act could further support families. The Build Back Better Act aims to fund things such as free community college, expanded Medicare coverage, child care assistance, and extend the child tax credit payments to 2025.

Dont Expect A Fourth Stimulus Check But There Are Other Relief Payments
Households behind on rent or struggling to put food on the table might be hoping for a fourth check. But you cant count on that in the current political and economic climate. With Biden already seeking more than $3 trillion for various spending programs, some GOP members might go to the mat over another round of direct financial assistance to households. Also, the inflation situation is concerning and Fed Chair Jerome Powell is gearing up to reduce stimulus.
While a fourth check might not come, at least not soon, parents can draw Child Tax Credit payments to feed their families. The program pays between $250 and $300 per child. Payments started going out in July and will stop in December, but Congress can extend it.
Whats Behind The Push For A Fourth Stimulus Check

– The IRS has issued almost 167 million payments in the third round of direct stimulus aid, with another 1.8 million people last week receiving the $1,400 checks. But some lawmakers are pushing for a fourth round of stimulus aid that would effectively send recurring payments until the pandemic ends.
So far, the federal response to the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic has delivered $3,200 to each eligible adult: $1,200 via the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act in March 2020 $600 in a December relief measure and $1,400 under the American Rescue Plan signed in March by President Joe Biden.
Despite that financial assistance, millions of Americans remain in financial distress, with about 4 in 10 people saying their income remains below its pre-pandemic levels, according to a survey from financial services firm TransUnion.
Nationwide, nearly 16 million people are receiving some form of jobless assistance. The unemployment rate stands at 6.1%, far higher than its pre-pandemic level of 3.5%, and jobless rates remain especially elevated in low-wage industries such as food services and hospitality. One in four Americans struggled to pay their household expenses in the previous week, according to a Center on Budget and Policy Priorities analysis of Census survey data from early May.
Almost 6 in 10 people say the $1,400 payments set to be included in the rescue package will last them less than three months, the senators wrote in the letter.

Fourth Stimulus Check Approval: Here’s What It’ll Take
The White House hasn’t responded to any of the proposals for additional stimulus checks, and the general sentiment is that a fourth stimulus check isn’t likely. Economists have suggested we’ve already moved past the pandemic’s worst financial woes, although there are signs that Americans could still use relief.
Experts certainly seem in agreement that there won’t be a fourth stimulus check. The latest stimulus package, the American Rescue Plan, is “gonna be the last on that front,” Deutsche Bank senior U.S. economist Brett Ryan told Fortune. “No more checks.”
Ed Mills, Washington policy analyst at Raymond James, agreed, telling CNBC recently “I think its unlikely at this time. D.C. has largely started to pivot towards the recovery and an infrastructure bill.”
Many economists and financial experts are worried that the third stimulus checks have contributed to a growing inflation rate. In June 2021, the core inflation rate, stripped of energy and food prices, rose 4.5% at an annual rate vs. the Dow Jones estimate of 3.8%. The overall consumer price index rose at an annualized 5.4% rate in June.
Will There Be Another Stimulus Check From The Federal Government
Most people agree that getting another big stimulus check from the federal government is a long shot at this point. Still, some lawmakers keep pushing for another stimulus check to help Americans who are struggling to rebuild thanks to COVID-19 and its economic impact. And with the Delta and Omicron variants out therewould another stimulus check happen for everyone? You never know. Only time will tell, really. A lot of people didnt think wed see a third stimulus check eitherbut it happened.
With the economy and jobs both on the upswing, the need for a stimulus check is way less than its been since the start of the pandemic. Not to mention, a lot of people have been getting extra cash each month from the Child Tax Credit. Add all of that up and its easy to see that there might not be another stimulus check. But if there is one, dont worrywell let you know.

Fourth Stimulus Check Up To $15000 Approved Read The Truth Here
A claim has been spreading like wildfire on social media in recent days which taps into millions of peoples hope for a new stimulus payment. This claim purports to reveal that there will be a fourth stimulus check, worth at least $15,000 and handed out in clusters of several thousand dollars each.
Unfortunately, the claim thats being spread thanks to sources like the LALATE YouTube channel is completely false. The channel has more than 400,000 subscribers so its easy to see why this fake news of a fourth stimulus check up to $15,000 spread so quickly. Even though Google Search trends volume is way up in recent days for search queries like 4th stimulus checks passed today, there is actually no news to share on that front.
The federal government is still in the process of sending out the final child tax credit checks. Outside of that, there have only been three stimulus check payments. And its almost certain a fourth will not materialize by the end of this year.
Th Stimulus Checks Given Out To Targeted Groups
Some states are digging into that wad of cash the government gave them and giving out the fourth stimulus checks to specific groups of people. The requirements look different for each state, but all seem to have a few things in commonlike falling into certain income levels or going through some kind of hardship.
- Arizona
The Grand Canyon State has a different take when it comes to stimulus checkstheyre giving them out to people who are going back to work. Arizonas Back to Work Program is offering $2,000 to those who got a job after being on unemployment.3 But you have to hold down your new job for at least eight weeks before getting the benefit.
- California
The Golden State is the only one on the list to give out big ol broad-sweeping stimulus checks that look like the ones the federal government gave out. Heres how their numbers break down: Californians making $75,000 or less were sent a one-time check of $600 or $1,200 as part of the Golden State Stimulus I.4 And with the Golden State Stimulus II, they could be eligible for a second stimulus payment anywhere from $500 to $1,100.5 Thats on top of extra money the state paid out through the Young Child Tax Credit to those who have children age 6 or younger.6
- Colorado
These guys decided to shift their focus to giving their stimulus checks to the unemployed. They sent $375 to folks who had gotten at least one unemployment check payment between March 15, 2020, and October 24, 2020.7

Support For A Fourth Stimulus Check
A group of Democratic Senators, including Ron Wyden of Oregon, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Bernie Sanders of Vermont, sent a letter to President Joe Biden at the end of March requesting recurring direct payments and automatic unemployment insurance extensions tied to economic conditions.
As the Senators reasoned in their letter, this crisis is far from over, and families deserve certainty that they can put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. Families should not be at the mercy of constantly-shifting legislative timelines and ad hoc solutions.
An earlier letter to President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris from 53 Representatives, led by Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, carved out a similar position. Recurring direct payments until the economy recovers will help ensure that people can meet their basic needs, provide racially equitable solutions, and shorten the length of the recession.
Additional co-signers included New Yorks Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Michigans Rashida Tlaib, two other notable names among House Progressives. The letter didnt place a number on the requested stimulus payments. But a tweet soon after put it at $2,000 per month for the length of the pandemic.
$2,000 monthly payments until the pandemic is over.

Financial Uncertainty For Many Americans
The Delta and Omicron variants of COVID-19 have caused a lot of economic headaches for people in the USA, as fears begin to emerge about the knock-on effect this could have on their job or their search for a job.
Worryingly, almost one quarter of Americans had struggles when it came to paying their household expenses in the previous week, new Census survey data found after polling people in the last two weeks of August.
What’s more, the unemployment rate is at 5.2% in the USA, which remains larger than the pre-pandemic level of 3.5%. There are businesses that are still taking on new staff, but incredibly there are still roughly 5.3 million fewer people on payrolls right now than there was before the pandemic.

Fourth Stimulus Check Announced By Biden Administration Heres Who Gets One
At last, we have an official answer to a stimulus-related question that many people have been asking: Will there be a fourth stimulus check?
The answer is clear, albeit not necessarily as straightforward as people would like. Thats because, no, lawmakers have not approved another broad-based stimulus payment along the lines of the first three stimulus checks. Tens of millions of Americans, across almost all demographics, were eligible for those payments. This time, however, the government is talking about a one-time $600 check. And only for a few specific groups such as meatpacking workers, and grocery store employees.

Fourth Stimulus Check: Youll Get A New $1400 Payment If You Meet This Requirement

Theres a very good chance that the $1,400 stimulus payment that many of us got months ago will be the last one-and-done relief check we get during the pandemic from the federal government. We detailed why thats the case in a previous post and why the current child tax credit checks dont count as the new stimulus payment were referring to. Nevertheless, there are exceptions to every rule. And for a very narrow demographic, this estimation does not apply. Some of you are definitely getting another stimulus check for $1,400. Albeit, in 2022, and as long as you meet a few important requirements.

People have long been waiting for a fourth stimulus check, but it seems unlikely that Congress will send more direct payments. Some families, however, could get lucky and get a fourth coronavirus stimulus check just in time for Christmas. This stimulus check will be unlike the three stimulus checks that Congress has sent so far, rather it will be part of the expanded child tax credit program.

Fourth Stimulus Check Update: Monthly $2k Petition 15000 Signatures Shy Of 3 Million
An online petition that began in 2020 calling for $2,000 monthly stimulus checks for every American during the pandemic is now a tad shy of its goal of 3 million signatures. Saturday night it sat at 2,984,500 signatures.
With the Omicron variant of COVID-19 running rampant, record numbers of people catching COVID againeven if they’re vaccinated and sports leagues getting hit hard by the virus, calls for another round of stimulus checks could grow louder.
Stephanie Bonin, a restaurant owner in Denver, Colorado, launched her petition on Change.org last year, and it has picked up steam over the year as many people are still out of work.
“I’m calling on Congress to support families with a $2,000 payment for adults and a $1,000 payment for kids immediately, and continuing regular checks for the duration of the crisis,” the petition reads.
Though Bonin’s petition has gained more than 48,000 new supporters over the last six weeks, it’s unlikely that Congress as a whole will be fazed by it.
The first stimulus checks issued to Americans in 2020under former President Donald Trumpwere $1,200 per person, plus an additional $500 for each dependent. Those began hitting bank accounts in April 2020.
The second stimulus checks, later in 2020, were $600 per adult with an additional $600 for each dependent. A third stimulus check was issued at $1,400 per adult after Joe Biden took office in January 2021.

Some Lawmakers Have Pushed For Recurring Stimulus Payments
Earlier this month, 11 Democratic senators including Ron Wyden, D-OR, Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-MA, and Bernie Sanders, I-VT sent a letter to President Joe Biden, pushing for future legislation with more aid. A key difference: They say that stimulus should be in the form of recurring direct payments to Americans until the pandemic is over, rather than a single payment. The letter did not specify how big the checks should be or who might qualify for them.
“We urge you to include recurring direct payments and automatic unemployment insurance extensions tied to economic conditions in your Build Back Better long-term economic plan,” the

Further details of the plan are expected to trickle out as Biden’s advisors plan to present the proposal, worth as much as $3 trillion, to the president this week, The New York Times reports.
“Families shouldn’t have to worry about whether they’ll have enough money to pay for essentials in the months ahead as the country continues to fight a global pandemic,” the senators wrote. “Almost 6 in 10 people say the $1,400 payments set to be included in the rescue package will last them less than three months.”
