When Can I Expect My Latest Stimulant Payment

California Golden State Stimulus II: Most direct deposit payments to be issued by this week

The latest round of stimulus checks are expected to be distributed on October 31.

According to a statement from Andrew LePage of the CFTB: “The next scheduled batch will comprise roughly 1.15 million GSS II payments – about 400,000 direct deposits and about 750,000 mailed checks.”

The most recent edition of GSS II stimulus checks will consist of an amount between $600 to $1,100. In order to qualify for pandemic payments under GSS II, the individual must be a California resident who earned less than $75,000 a year.

Before the curtain closes on 2021, an estimated 4.5 million people in California are expected to get stimulus money and the CFTB is expected to issue nine million payments.

“Typically, youll receive this payment using the refund option you selected on your tax return,” the CFTB stated in an earlier press release.

For those receiving a payment in this round, the Tax Board advises that it can take up to a few days for the money to show up in the recipients bank account, and up to three weeks to receive a check by mail after its sent.

With this latest disbursement, California will have distributed more than 6 million total payments worth a total value of $4.5 billion since GSS II checks started going out in late August, according to figures provided by the Tax Board.

Qualifying taxpayers could get a $600 payment for themselves, as well as an extra $500 if they claimed at least one dependent.

Its estimated about 9 million people, almost a quarter of the states population, will be getting money from Californias expanded stimulus program.

For those who believe they are eligible but havent gotten one yet, the state expects to send the stimulus funds out through the rest of the 2021. Most of the remaining payments are expected to be issued by mail.

California residents who qualified for the program include those who submitted a 2020 state income tax return, reported earnings of $1 to $75,000 last year, have a Social Security Number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number , and arent claimed by another taxpayer as a dependent.

For anyone not sure if theyre eligible, the state created an online tool to help determine that.

Stimulus Checks Have A Look

The California Franchise Tax Board , is the body that is officially generating the stimulus check money to the eligible residents of the state. They have updated the official website in order to make it easy for the receivers to track their share of the financial aid payments.

The ones who filed the tax returns after the deadline that was provided, that is the 20th of August, will receive the stimulus check financial aid payments a little later. The reason behind this is the fact that it takes more than 45 days to process the entire tax return of one citizen.

What This Letter Is About

Where Is My Golden State Stimulus?

The IRS began issuing Letter 6475, Economic Impact Payment 3 End of Year, in January 2022.

This letter helps EIP recipients determine if theyre eligible to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2021 tax year returns. This letter provides the total amount of the third Economic Impact Payment and any plus-up payments received for tax year 2021. For married individuals filing a joint return, each spouse will receive their own letter showing half of the total amount.

Letter 6475 only applies to the third round of EIP issued between March 2021 and December 2021. This includes plus-up payments.

Plus-up payments were additional EIP 3 payments the IRS sent to people who:

  • Received a third Economic Impact Payment based on a 2019 tax return or information receive from Social Security Administration, Railroad Retirement Board or Veterans Administration, and
  • Were eligible for an additional amount based on their 2020 tax return

Most eligible people already received the full amount they are entitled to receive. Anyone who did not receive the full amount they are entitled to should review the payment information to determine whether they should claim the Recovery Rebate Credit for tax year 2021.
